Camp Moremi has a well-deserved legacy in the Botswana tourism industry for being able to deliver the classic African safari experience. Completely rebuilt in 2018 as a modern luxury safari lodge, Camp Moremi is located within the world-renowned Moremi Game Reserve.

Located in the Moremi Game Reserve which is situated in the eastern part of the Okavango Delta, on the south-western border of the Chobe National Park, and covers almost one-third of the Delta.Moremi Game Reserve is a wilderness paradise.

Its wealth of bird and animal life makes Moremi a prime game-viewing area. Bird life is exceptional and diverse in all areas of the Moremi Game Reserve. During the dry season the congregation of all species along permanent rivers and waterholes makes Moremi Game Reserve one of the most unforgettable wildlife experiences in Africa with great game viewing throughout the year.Let a small but diverse area blow you away with wildlife

Four star Safari

Camp Moremi’s communal areas include a sunken bar, masterfully built around a large termite mound and ebony tree, an expansive lounge area with a beautiful brass and soft finishes, leading towards an extended library and private deck. These areas, including the elevated dining area, connects by boardwalk to the fireplace in front of the camp. In addition, an open-air boma and secluded swimming pool complement the public area facilities.

A maximum of 24 guests sharing in five tented rooms. Children over the age of 6 years are welcome. Families with children aged 6-11 will be required to book private activities at an additional cost, the nature of which may be subject to the discretion of the managers or guides

Camp Moremi boasts 11 expansive, modern styled thatched safari tents and accommodates a maximum of twenty-four guests. All standard tents are expansive with spacious bathrooms consisting of double vanities and showers, and private decks offering views over the Moremi Game Reserve. Subtle décor and lighting fixtures allow for a natural and warm atmosphere within each room to create a peaceful and harmonious blend with the surrounding environment.

Camp Moremi has one luxury family safari tent consisting of two separate bedrooms and two bathrooms. The unit has a thatched roof with spacious bathrooms consisting of double vanities and showers, with private decks offering views over the Moremi Game Reserve. Subtle décor and lighting fixtures allow for a natural and warm atmosphere within each room.

Safari activities

Camp Moremi offers a truly authentic water and land safari experience.

  • Game Drives morning and afternoon game drives throughout the many different ecosystems that the Moremi Game Reserve has to offer. A team of experienced Professional guides will introduce you to a whole new world of wildlife; watch a Leopard stretched out lazily in the branches of a Mopane tree, herds of Elephant grazing under a canopy of green or a pride of Lions camouflaged in the long grass. Moremi Game Reserve’s incredible wetlands support a vast number of antelope, including Impala, Kudu and Waterbuck. Birdlife is prolific and the majestic Fish Eagle and vivid Malachite Kingfisher are frequently seen and even the rare Pel’s Fishing Owl makes an occasional appearance, to the delight of guides and guests alike.

  • Motorized Boating Explore the Xakanaxa Lagoon and its surrounding channels by boat.Guided excursions through the deeper channels and lagoons of the Okavango Delta in hard-bottom aluminum boats allows for access to incredible landscapes, impressive wildlife as well as the opportunity to enjoy the picturesque waters of the Okavango Delta. The boats are equipped with comfortable seats, a foldaway canvas roof and life jackets
  • Birding Birding is quite spectacular, especially during spring and summer when the migrants breed.The reserve is home to over 400 species of birds, including the African Fish Eagle, the Crested Crane and the Sacred Ibis.
