Tuli Game Reserve
Mashatu in Botswana’s Northern Tuli Game Reserve is developing the Lala Limpopo sleepout hide due to launch in October.
The newly constructed hide has been strategically placed in the ground to seamlessly blend in with the surrounding scenery.
The waterhole previously known as Pete’s Pond will offer vast wildlife activity for photography. Innovative, non-intrusive lighting is being introduced around the waterhole to ensure the best conditions for daytime and nocturnal activity, including sensors to alert guests of activity during the night and a full control panel enabling adjustment of side, front and back lighting as well as colour temperature angle.
Lala Limpopo will accommodate up to four guests with a kitchen, lounge, bathroom, separate bedroom for the guide, editing facilities and a small outdoor courtyard.
Wake up to elephants at eye level where intimate experiences are a new meaning. This is what you can experience first-hand at the Lala Limpopo Sleep-Out hide. Spend a memorable evening underground photographing and observing all the nocturnal creatures of Mashatu. Lala Limpopo Sleep-out Hide offers a one-of-a kind comfortable safari suite built into the ground, with an incredibly active waterhole right outside the window. The waterhole is 2m from the photographing window. We are thrilled to introduce a completely new experience for photography enthusiasts and wildlife lovers alike- built with innovative lighting to sure you always get a great photo. You can now have the hide experience from dusk till dawn, all while drinking coffee, having dinner and other comforts to make sure your experience is unhurried, whilst presenting amazing wildlife scenes.
There will be an opening special of 50% running for the months of October and November 2024 for those eagerly awaiting, lenses at the ready. Lala Limpopo, as with the other hides in Mashatu, will then close from December 2024 until the end of February over the rainy season and will reopen from 1 March 2025.
